Magdalena Vs Cthulhu

I'm a big fan of artists Eric Basaldua and Joe Benetiz styles when drawing The Magdalena. So inspired by their works I had to take a shot at drawing Magdalena myself. My pencil work is a little rusty though so I drew this entire piece in Adobe Illustrator. Don't ask how long it took as I played with this drawing for a few months doing a little at a time in between other jobs. I really love the final product though as everything came together just the way I hoped. This image is also 1 version of 3 as there are slight variations on the other 2 versions but I'll save the interesting ones for a little later. (evil grin)

TRIVIA:
Note that the Magdalena in this pic is welding the ACTUAL Spear of Destiny! It's true google it, we know what this thing looks like, why more artists don't use this very unique and interesting looking weapon I don't know?
